I am going to assume Amazon is the new God that you are just exceedingly ignorant and not a troll.
Profit is the difference between what you pay for something and what you sell it for. If you bought Amazon at $100K and sold it at $300k, then your profit was $200K. A $200k profit on something that cost you $100k is a 200% profit, not a 300% profit.
Every serious, successful investor has their stories of investments that exploded in value. Yours isn't different than what many others have done.
It is capital gains, not capitol gains.
There is no capital gains tax in the U.S. The tax on capital gains is part of the income tax.
