Meade rejected from the voice again for singing "Cotton Fields".

One would think Meade should know better by now.

CCR's "Cotton Fields" hasn't really aged all that well and Meade really isn't in the position where he can afford to be "politically incorrect" and alienate an audience.

Also, his voice isn't aging all that well and was pretty mediocre to begin with. He could easily be rejected on that alone...

Why do I keep getiting rejected by "The Voice"?
This is my 3rd try auditioning with them. I even did a Pop song this time by CCR called "cotton fields". I put my own spin on it. I don't see why they won't give me a chance. Most of the people they let on are mediocre and they get picked, why not me?

He ought to song that old song "Patches" it suits him; "My father was a great old man, I can see him with a shovel in his hand" *and on and on.

He claims he put his own spin to "Cotton Fields", which means he turned it into yet another yankee doodlee doo doo song that he's famous for.

Meade is the only musician I've ever heard of that can't get pussy. It takes very little talent to get pussy (or dick or whatever he's into). The reason he can't is because the crap he plays all sounds like government propaganda songs from World War 1, which no one is excited by, especially chicks.

I'll bet his families slaves played better music than he does.

I think a great song would the "3 step nigga jive shuffle" that Al Sharpton does all the time. Maybe you could get Rev Al to dance the jig while you sing it...maybe even get a few niggas to "jump the broom" just to put you over the top.

He was probably dressed up like a Col Sanders looking Plantation owning dandy. Drinking mint and Southern whiskey. That together with the choice of song speaks volumns. Boy is alreadys a couple bits short of a dollar.

Meade has a beautiful voice . He is only in his 40s and his voice is better than ever. Those people on "The Voice" have no clue.

FFXU is meade's base of support, any other place, outside of this spot, no one knows him or has even heard of him, although they've heard of the Meadow Street Band. Why I wonder? Why doesn't he touch bases here with his multitude of fans?

Meade has an above-average voice but it is really is pretty generic.

He needs to do something a little bodacious if he wants to stand out from the pack and get noticed. He should try something like a cover of Madonna's "Like a Virgin".

Jim Morrison whipped out his dick once in the 1960s somewhere. got him publicity. What about Meatloaf too.

Morrison didn't need to whip out his dick. He had a powerful distinct voice that still sounds unique and compelling 50 years after his death. Meade might want to study some of the songs "the doors" wrote.

Meade will continue to waste his life in the fantasy of "Being a Rockstar."

Nothing wrong with dreaming. A lot of homeless people in cardboard boxes in Richmond are "Rock stars."

I sing in a band on weekends to crowds of about 100-500. During the week I work as a tech manager to support my retirement, fantasy vacations and my toys(car and boat).

Meade can't separate his fantasy "rockstar" world from real world. When that happens you get homeless people us conservative taxpayers have to support for life. Makes me sick!

Meade lives his dream and has played in Nashville at Americas cup of Polo with a loyal youtube following. He also got to be a movie. So your fantasy isn't his fantasy, because he made it a reality. He wrote several hundred songs and put them out on records. It's easy to criticize others who have done more than you have.

Meade is going to be living under bridge some place in a cardboard box while I'm retiring taking young hotties out on my boat.

Meade you just don't get it and probably never will. Re-read your post and think again about why we aren't "just jealous." You sound like a high school kid.

America's Cup of Polo? One song? LOL!
Loyal Youtube following? LOLOL!
Been in a movie? As a dead body face down in the mud? LMAO!!!!!!!!
Hundreds of songs.... that nobody cares about? LMAO MORE!!!!

I forget Meade has had a telling part in a major Hollywood production. He produced and directed his well received, Sweet Tea video. He was the headliner at many a Fair, Festival and Squaredance. Have to give him credit for his stamina. When you actually view meade's history only then will you understand.

Not mooching off others is the most important thing for an adult to do.
All that other stuff is meaningless as long as Meade has his dad and our government bankrolling him instead of him paying his own way.

Meade could very well be a prophet in the form of a misshapen autistic retard.

Anyone seen Midsommar? Remember how the pagan cult deliberately inbred in order to produce a retard that could receive prophetic messages? Meade is like that.

The most recent event here was Meade being an uncredited extra years ago.

What sort of accomplishments has Meade done lately?

BINGO

Meade has been resting on his laurels far too long. He hasn't been done anything of relevance in almost a decade. People have forgotten Meade just like they have forgotten Wynonna Judd.

Lots of musicians get their starts by playing coffee shops and craft shows before going off to fame and fortune. Many return to them late in their career when the bigger venues book newer, fresher acts. Meade has bypassed the "Fame and Fortune" part by never leaving the coffee shops and craft shows.

What a following he has!

Meade should forget about "The Voice" and try out for a show that he has a ghost of a chance to get on. He has already done one Patsy Montana cover. Meade should dress in drag and yodel his way into a slot on "Rupaul's Drag Race"!

He might have to strengthen his yodeling skills if he expects to pull off
"I want to be a Cowboy's Sweetheart" without people cringing, but it would make a unique act if he did.

Check out the song...

Who wouldn't want to see Meade dressed up as "Fatsy Montana" belting it out while gyrating grotesquely?

Meade played Americas cup of polo. A lot of the "singers" on these tv shows are long forgotten. Who even remembers Clay Aiken? Ruben Studdard? The only successful one from American Idol is Kelly Clarkson. The other "winners" are not remembered, and she was the first. Her loud caterwauling may appeal to some when she was young and pretty, but now she is a fat middle aged cow who is bloated beyond belief. At least Meade can play an instrument.

in many instruments: keyboard,piano,5 string guitar, he has like a stringed harp instrument that he uses on certain songs, he can play the concertina and the Jew's harp, also the harmonica and banjo. He'd make a good sessions musician

America Cup of Polo was a short-lived charity fraud run by the two infamous con artists who crashed the Obama White House in 2009. Meade would have been wise to play up their notoriety instead of calling them "Good People". They even conned Meade to play there for free!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America%27s_Polo_Cup

If Meade buckled down and actually practiced those instruments he might have made a good studio musician and had a comfortable living playing musi Instead, he thought he was born to be the center of attention in an "all or nothing" gamble.

We know how that gamble paid off.

So Meade played a free gig over 12 years ago and it is still considered his career highlight. How does that show he had a better career than Clay Aiken or Ruben Studdard? A "has been" is far better than a "never was".

Doesn't a person have to own a property to rent out in order to become a vrbp host? I suppose if Meade sleeps in a car and tries to pass his decrepit dad of as a piece of furniture, he might be able to fool the stupid. But it doesn't sound like a long-term career path.
