He has a good range of voice. He did strain that last note, though. He was probably just bloated.

Even the best singers have their off days. I bet he did it one take. No fancy auto tune. Meade is a pro. He handles it well.

Meade has improved over time. I saw him years ago and he sounds even better today. People just like to attack him because they are envious of his achievements.

That is what I have been saying. For over 50 years people have been brainwashed into thinking things like "Elinor Rigby", "Something" and "Yesterday" are actually good. So when real complex and compelling songs like "Sweet Tea" and "They called me Porker" are finally written, they get dismissed outright as being doggerels set to sing-song tunes.

So Meade hits one bad note out of a thousand. Even the top singers in the world have done that. Meade has a strong work ethic and has a pioneering American spirit. He is an inspiration to many.

I have never personally heard a professional musician sing a note like that live. I'm not saying it doesn't happen. Vocal flaws seem to occur more with Meade than actual professional musicians. That said, a professional musician would have done a second track and not uploaded that crap as is.

The real deal-breaker on Meade's recording is the loud cacophonous blast at the end. No credible professional musician would upload a recording with that sort of flub. Making fun of meade was the hip thing to do about a decade ago.
Now, outside of FFU, nobody has heard of meade.
We are the only folks who watch his vids, and then he promptly takes them down after he gets negative commentary for saying something offensive about blacks or jews.

I hope 2020 is the year he evaluates his career aspirations and figures out what he actually wants to (and can) do.

Disappointed to hear the recent news that Meade will not be performing at the Publix company holiday party.
