New York Attorney General Unleashing Hurricane Stormy on Trump and It Looks Very Very Bad
Federal prosecutors, are spending a lot of time with Michael Cohen, Trump's personal attorney.
The New York AG, and Cohen, allege the Trump Organization paid Cohen $420,000 to reimburse him for the $130,000 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, and had the forethought to increase the amount substantially to cover taxes and a bonus for making Trump's adulterous affair disappear through shell companies and an illegal payment scheme through the National Enquirer.
Cohen was directed to submit monthly invoices and the payments were made by there Trump Organization in installments of $35,000 over 12 months well into 2017, according to prosecutors in the Cohen case.
The Trump Organization officially accounted for the payments as allowable fees for legal expenses - even though Cohen did no legal work for the company in 2017. Those accounting entries would have been reflected as allowable expenses in the Trump Organization's Federal tax filings with the IRS. Falsifying accounting records and falsely reporting them to the IRS are both felonies.
Numerous felony charges could be brought against the individual(s) and/or corporation(s) who participated in these types of criminal activities.
Do you think Trump should be charged and tried if he committed these crimes?
