As an example, the United States was just a bit player in world war 2 compared to Britain and the USSR. Nazi Germany would have been defeated regardless of US involvement as the Germans simply didn’t have the industrial base or man power the Soviets.

Must be why the commies relied on the US for most of their stuff during the war.
And the Nazi's were fighting a two front war and the Brits were barely hanging on.
The US was the dominate allied power in the Pacific. We shouldered 95% of the brunt of that campaign.

History is written from a perspective. One guy's freedom fighter is another's terrorist. My aunt moved from ny to va in the 5th grade in the 40s and couldnt figure out how we were in two totally different wars that both ended at Appomattox.
Obviously "United States was just a bit player in world war 2 compared to Britain and the USSR" is not a historic fact but the perspective of just another person trying to pass themselves off as the one who knows the truth.

The Afrika Korps' fate was sealed at El Alamein, which prevented German access to oil and maintained British control of the Suez, allowing Britain to bring its global empire to bear in Europe. The German eastern offensive was broken at Stalingrad, which eliminated an entire army and prvented German access to the Russian oil fields. Both occurred well before D-Day.
