This market is based on a huge bubble - unsustainable corporate tax cuts and a booming economy. When the cycle brings a recession the Fed will have to INCREASE taxes or the deficit will explode due to lower revenue in a recession. Trump disarmed the safties on the torpedoes and now they have acquired us as the target -'youve killed us you fool!'

based on policy alone you would have to argue this is what the GOP has intentionally designed. Slash revenue in a boom and impose harmful tariffs while battling with every trade partner.

Blame the dems if you want but you may want to consider who is running the government.

Recessions are when the rich concentrate wealth. If they didn't they would be forced to deal with tightening labor.

Without the poor the power of the wealthy dilutes. It is purposeful. And they are unconcerned with economic downturn. As long as the rich and their beholden politicians remain empowered.

Their economic and political philosophy is pretty much no longer sustainable though without trillion dollar deficits leaving the country open to even more devastating fiscal situations during down cycles.

And their cowardly voters come crawling like the ungrateful shameless dogs they are when the economy is ruined.
