the initial filing had no evidence of laws broken or wrongdoing (except money, but we suspect everyone with money at all times unless we know better)
somehow they proved 8 counts but UNLKE OJ SIMPSON TRIAL: NOT A WORD GOT OUT about how those charges were "proven"
it's a quite real concept that the jury was threatened to find guilt or that they would be themselves charged with a legal crime
i'm %100 certain that in USA gov prosecutors have been instructing jury INSTEAD of judge, and that these prosecutors have illegally threatened the life (or prison time) of jury, simply attacking and mauling the defendant
it's illegal for a prosecutor to talk to the jury alone: fucking HARVARD does it all the time

it's true and not true a jury can be convicted of (say, awarding millions to a democrat who they knew to be guilty of theft)
the penalty in the Ancient Greece and Rome was death
Greece and Rome didn't allow slaves or idiots in Jury
--------------------------
modernly, a Judge could throw out an unreasonable Jury result, claiming a mis-trial. conviction of the jury might or might not follow.
the problem becomes if the matter is purely political, how such a thing could fairly be decided
the LAW says that political convictions are NOT ALLOWED IN A COURTROOM
black juries in USA have continually refused to convict even given excellent evidence of (burglary, murder, etc). they are never convicted in black towns for doing this. encouraged to do it, possibly

the United States Supreme Court, at the tail of Cliinton Presidency, despite being %90 democrat, had to rule that juries could not award multi-million dollar suits in many cases. the whole eastern board of democrats had been doing it and it had gotten out of hand (and news reports were done on it).
today, dems are back to doing it again, but USSC is not saying a word: and news is no longer reporting on it
