Trumptardism is baby boomers having a visceral reaction to a two term black presidency. You have to remember, these people Trumps age had Jim Crow laws when they were entering adulthood. They could get on a bus and tell a black person to move to the back of the bus just because they were white.

Now they are old and st the end of their lives. They see a country fundamentally different then what it was. Everyone sees their childhood as when things were great and the way things should be. Baby boomers are no different.

So they wanted to make America great again. Or make whites great again. Great as in dominance through racial oppression.

Trump understands this, its what he is to his core. And its why he was able to connect to, exploit and ride this fervor. But inciting this tribal populism is pretty much where Trumps ability as a politician and a president end. Which is to the detriment of the country.
