When, in the history of private jets, have you ever heard of someone "bailing out" of one?

How many passengers do you need to carry? Do you really need 8 seats? You can get several 2 or 4 seat turboprops (type cert or exp) for a fraction of that price and get nearly comparable speed, better fuel economy, and vastly cheaper maintenance costs.

Depending on how often you travel, for the price of buying a small jet, you could charter one at much less expense and effort. Otherwise, you will need to put your plane in a charter pool just to keep it current and earn its keep.

Finally, why the hell would anyone wait to learn to fly until they had a very fast aircraft. There is a huge difference between cruising at 140 knots vs 240, 340, or faster. You have to think and work much faster on approach and in traffic to keep track of where you are and what is going on inside and outside the aircraft.

Do you actually believe anyone on this forum is going to buy an aircraft, much less earn a rating for this or any other type?

Lots of people around here own and fly private planes, and even more retired military pilots.

You can get a 2-seat Glassair III for well under $200,000. They have a top speed just under 300 mph, range about 1,500 miles and can land a lot more places than a Hondajet.
