I was thinking of obtaining an Italian passport via my Italian Great-grandfather. Having both an American AND EU passport will do wonders for my job prospects. Trying to get records going back to the 1920’s is a pain in the ass.

I can’t imagine it’d be a problem if you are getting dual citizenship with a country like Italy. Besides, no one is getting security clearances nowadays. There’s a backlog going back at least three years.
