Special prosecutor Robert Mueller zeroed in on President Donald Trump's business dealings with Deutsche Bank as his investigation into alleged Russian meddling in U.S. elections widens.
Mueller issued a subpoena to Germany's largest lender several weeks ago, forcing the bank to submit documents on its relationship with Trump and his family, according to a person briefed on the matter, who asked not to be identified because the action has not been announced.

Apparently, Trump uses foreign banks for his large transactions. So payments are difficult to detect by the US federal government. Payments over $10,000 in US banks are monitored for "suspicious activity." That how they caught the Congressmen paying off people.

Trumps using Russian mob money in the hundreds of millions is almost a certainty. Proving it - who knows. But there is a reason Trump has hidden all his financial records and all but one leaked year of taxes. I would not bet my portfolio that an investigation of Trumps bank accounts will be problem-free for him. Ummmm, that's not a crime. You can't charge him with that. Mueller can't take away Manafort's right to talk to whomever he wants. All Mueller can do is take back any agreements he made with Manafort if he does. The judge can cite Manafort for contempt he order Manafort not to discuss the case and he does, but Mueller can't do shit about it.

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Deutsche Bank on Monday denied a magazine report that said that the bank had reported to German banking supervisors suspicious funds associated with Jared Kushner, U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and advisor.
German monthly Manager Magazin reported last week that Deutsche Bank has indications that Kushner, or people or companies close to him, have identified suspicious flows of funds through the bank. The report also said that Deutsche Bank reported its suspicions to German financial watchdog BaFin.
“It is wrong to assert that Deutsche Bank supplied the German financial supervisory authority BaFin with a report stating that the real estate investor Jared Kushner or companies or persons associated with him may have channeled suspect funds via Deutsche Bank when executing their transactions,” Deutsche Bank said.
“We are taking legal action regarding this reporting,” the bank said.
