Even the vocalist sounds like a young Robert Plant. I heard of them recently. Can they succeed on their own, though? So far, its an imitation of Zeppelin, most would say. Not that they aren't very good.

"Operation: Mindcrime" dropped 29 years ago. It was a phenomenal album and a seminal moment in the genre. Eyes of a Stranger was amongst the album's best songs.

What does that have to do with the here and now and a band like Greta Van Fleet carrying the entirety of blues-dipped rock forward from John Bonham's death/the day Led Zeppelin ended ...to today?

Yes, Queensryche is still together but, how is that relevant to this thread?

I didn’t realize Queensrÿche was still together. They really need to do an Empire reunion tour. The whole album brings back such great memories.

I'm not even sure you have Queensryche still together really because you have Geoff Tate in one group with a bunch of unknown dudes. And then you have the rest of Queensryche with an unknown singer in another group.

Tate is one of the most underappreciated voices in rock history. I think he's in the top 10 discussion...

Known about them for 3 years. They could be huge. Their shows are all sold out for their whole tour this year. But they are totally and completely copying Zepplin all the way down to the clothes and Plantes hand mannerisms so there is zero originality.

I remember seeing them play a show with Tortelvis at the 930 club many years ago before it became a popular place to go. Dreadlock Zeppelin. They could really jam but I have not seen them here since.

LP dropped yesterday. It's streaming on Spotify. I'm not sure about the other services. It's called "From The Fires". It contains the 4 tracks from their "Black Smoke Rising" EP and some new material that they have been trying out on live audiences.

I don't like the new songs as much as the 4 from the EP. Regardless, their rocketship has launched...

There are two versions of Queensryche. Queensryche's bands league singer is Todd La Torre. Tate fronts his own band called Operation Mindcrime.

I seen they’re playing at Floydfest this summer, i might have to take a trip down and check them out, i heard they’re great live.
