Sure it's small, boring and a living cliche of DC metro urbanite life, but it's really not that bad. I moved here about 5 months ago from San Jose and think it's pretty nice. It's definetely a lot quieter than most parts of the area. My three bedroom three level house cost me 375K, I have plenty of space to let the dog run around, the city and most amenities are within reasonable driving distance and crime is virtually non existent.

What's not to like? When you arrive at a theater late, you take what seat that's available.....that's Ashburn

It isn't so bad if you work within 30 minutes drive, don't mind the cookie cutter houses, don't mind the fact that their isn't any form of entertainment within 45 minutes and don't mind all the suburbanites and their whiny ass spoiled rotten children. Even if you are okay with all of this, you might get tired of it really quick. The closest to "fun" you will ever get in that area is the stores at 1 Loudoun, Redskins park when they have open practices and the Alamo draft house.

Its been ruined by people from out of state.

I had heard all the shit written here about Ashburn, but had never been until this weekend. Went to the Fuddruckers and then the Ocelot brewery right after and I thought the area was actually pretty nice. Obviously it isn't the go-to place for single 20-30 somethings looking to work hard and play hard, but if you are just married/ moving into the area with a family it seems like a logical choice.

Late to the show, huh?

This isn't so much a review of Ashburn itself but the people that live there. Most of the people that live there are either boring IT professionals who are money savvy, and choose to live somewhere cheap yet boring as hell. A lot of HB1 indians too. I met a girl through Match that lives there, she's from Jordan and was a sex fiend. The good thing about quiet Ashburn is we could fuck ANYWHERE and no one would be around to even be bothered by it! We fucked in the parking lot at Red Robin at 7 pm and no one was around. We also fucked on the picnic tables outside of Carolina Brother's bbq.
