Jefferson owned slaves, didn't he?
Seems like this is what all the fuss is about, right?

Nope, Jefferson was a president and founding father. Not a traitor general that killed many Americans to destroy the union. Republicans like to idolize treason.

Lee was an officer in the Mexican War and would've been remembered as an American military role model. Except he joined a band of traitors who started a war with the United States, and got 600,000+ people killed.

The first reason Trumptard is that Virginia does not own Monticello. It is owned by a private foundation that purchased the property almost 100 years ago. The monuments that have been removed in Charlottesville and elsewhere have been on public property.

He didn't have to. They were all racist slave owners and the slaves weren't in any position to do so.

Sorry, the dude had hundreds of slaves, was an active participant in the slave trade, and directly participated in creating laws to enable slavery and oppress blacks.

The current attempt by media that you're parroting to draw some weak distinction between people like Washington and Jefferson from Confederates that's now being pushed since Trump cited them will fail miserably. Your own #BLM-type crew soon will begin their autistic screeching. They don't draw the same fine line. Prepare to revise your talking points.
