The Alexandria shooter had been posting on this forum for several weeks prior to his attack. He also communicated via private message with members of this forum.

This doesn't surprise me. These sort of group thinkers tend to seek each other out. I suppose it will come down to whether or not G2 provided material support to the shooter. Material support, however, is a pretty broad definition.

Is it so hard to believe that a shooter who spend weeks in this area and multiple hours a day on his laptop did not communicate with local progressives who frequent this website?

It is hard to believe that the original poster would have knowledge that
1) he spent time here
2) Law enforcement is aware of that, and is actively investigating
3) He swapped private messages with a user here.

People have been known to leak things. But they leak to Washington Post, NYT, Claude Taylor etc. NOT an anonymous poster on fairfaxunderground.

Since the lead on the investigation is the FBI, it ie even more hard to believe the original poster.

Plus in order to send PMs here, you MUST be a registered user. So his posts would be not terribly difficult to find. Show me a post you say it is from him....

Unless someone involved in the investigation knows someone has a natural mistrust for this forum and shares information regarding the forum in relation to that mistrust,

Also, note all of the Gerrmanderer2 posts in this thread. He knows he is being watched. Look at his threads from late last week compared to today.

Yeah right, the FBI has mis-trust of fairfaxunderground... They may think it is vile, stupid, tin foil hat people spewing nonsense etc. But "mistrust", THAT is highly doubtful.
