What's the difference between separate commencements for minorities and a segregated society?

Harvard is having separate commencement ceremonies for blacks and the GLBT sector is planning to do so as well. What makes this appropriate when the DOJ lives in the deep south searching for school districts that do not have enough minorities and self segregated communities? Are we moving in the direction of a segregated society where separate but equal is legal and in most cases the preferred status?

It's appropriate provided the niggers initiate it.
If you would have told conservatives twenty years ago that the DEMOCRATS would effectively convince the coloreds to have separate ceremonies and living quarters, no one would believe it.
