Like many of his supporters, Trump has the mind of a child. He responds to any and all criticism with childlike insults. The Clinton staff knows this and baits him into saying stupid shit. Since he either has no advisers, or doesn't listen to them, he will continue to shoot himself in the foot.

Exactly. The problem is Trump has a big ego. A problem among many spoiled rich kids who never get out in the real world. All the see and hear are people around them kissing their asses because they think Trump is going to give them money.
