First of all, I wouldn't set foot in Myrtle Beach ANY WEEK of the year. It's a run down crime ridden dump.
But this "Black Bike Week" is a blatantly racist event. Look at this quote from the NAACP.
Local, state and national NAACP officials will again be monitoring for complaints of discrimination during Black Bike Week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina over Memorial Day Weekend.
“Separate but unequal treatment is a part of our history that must not be revisited. For decades, members of the South Carolina NAACP have confronted the appalling and unfortunately common discrimination, racism and intolerance in their home state. Our national office will always stand shoulder to shoulder with them to bring to light the hateful prejudices that override basic civil rights.” said NAACP President and CEO Cornell William Brooks.
Now, feel free to correct me, but isn't calling something "Black Bike Week" discrimination in and of itself? It's certainly not called "Rainbow Bike Week" or "Black & White & Yellow Bike Week". Isn't the NAACP practicing discrimination and intolerance by supporting a clearly racist event where whites and other races are not welcome? I think Mr Cornell Brooks is clearly supporting racist behavior by supporting an event that excludes other races and makes it clear only Blacks are welcome.
Can you imagine what would happen if someone decided to have a "White Bike Week"? It would be ridiculed on every liberal cable news channel and on the lips of every race baiting talking head like Sharpton and Farrakhan. BLM would make a fortune. But no......we get silence. Not gonna lie. I went down a couple years ago and didn't think I would enjoy myself but ended up having a great time! There were some knuckle heads (black, white, and hispanic) but that was so rare that is why I am able to remember them. ANyway, black people like to have fun just like anyone else and they help the local economy there. The local business people are happy this time of year.
Sidenote: all the jokes about black people's features are silly. Black people have great bodies and who in the hell think no lips or a flat ass is attractive? Damn, I forgot to update this year's adventure. When we got there we realized we forgot to book a hotel room. But we found a nice white couple that we convinced to share theirs. They should have looked at the calendar before booking their anniversary trip to Myrtle beach that week. Anyway, they shared the room, and the wife stayed with us the entire week. Not sure where the husband went, but we never saw him again.
Over all an excellent week. We got another toy to take home, and she's working at Tiny's house now. I didn't realize we had a couple pics until I was going through her purse today and found that camera. I thought you'd like a sample. I wish we had more action shots from that week, but we'll be sure to get some of ehr at Tiny's.
