I don't really understand why people think it's a bad location for a casino. It's a better location than Charles Town. It's in a wealthier area, near a city, near highways, in a complex of hotels and shopping and a conference center that brings in tourists. I think it will do well.

That place is going to be a huge succe$$ for MGM. Charles Town is already a ghost with the new Maryland and Virginia gambling laws. Plenty of $$ to be taken from people on the Eastern Shore and DC. Those idiots fall for the gambling easy.

Of course the place, like all casinos, is going to bring in the dregs of society. Smokers sitting at slot machines that look like they are 300 years old and yuppie rich kids blowing their savings trying to act rich.

The location is good since the surrounding area does have high salaries. More than likely it will fair well, however, as some other posters posted, yeah, the dregs of society will also acquaint themselves to this place. Nogs galore since it's PG County with DC right next door.

My advice.........IF YOU HAPPEN TO WIN BIG AND BELIEVE ME WHEN YOU DO PEOPLE AROUND YOU CHEER & CONGRATULATE YOU WHICH PUTS THE ATTENTION ON YOU OR IF YOU HIT THE JACKPOT ON A SLOT THE SLOT MACHINE THEN DOES THE SIREN NOISE THEN THE SLEAZY SIDE OF THE CITY TENDS TO KEEP AN EYE ON YOU AND WATCH WHEN YOU LEAVE.

Um it's in the middle of nigger town. It may do well, but it won't be long before it's murder central.

PG is the shithole of this area and National Harbour is already a monkey fest. The casino won't change that.
