Our neighbors to the north in Montgomery county (included in one of the 5 th richest counties in America) is going to raise property taxes so they can feed school kids on weekends.
Teachers are reporting kids are starving when they get to school and food is urgently needed.
What, snap program which pays 650 a month on average for non working and 250 a month based on income isn't enough for a family of four.
I once had to do it, not easy, but wtf.
With federal money, 5 county programs, numerous food banks, and hundreds of churches with food programs, enough is enough.
Maybe some jail time if you don't feed your kid.
