Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont raised just $25.8 million for his campaign in April, down by more than 40 percent from the previous month, as he faces an increasingly narrow path in the race for the Democratic nomination for president.

The April total, released by his campaign on Sunday, brought Mr. Sanders’s cumulative fund-raising haul to $210 million from more than 2.4 million donors.

He raised almost $46 million in March, his best month yet in a contest during which he has frequently brought in more money than his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.

Earlier this week, Mr. Sanders revealed in an interview that he would be laying off some 255 workers, saying he would focus his resources on competing in the remaining 14 contests, particularly in California.

That's still more than anyone else in the race. I think he's raised over 200 million already. Directly form the people at an average of less than 30 dollars a donation.

That means the people have decided to take your Scalia Citizens United ruling that destroyed your primary on with their own pocket books. And have matched all of most of the other candidates combined. Including Jeb Bush.

What Bernie did was finish off Citizens United. All you idiots did was rig it against yourself and give rise to the people. Great job trying to rig it with special interest money. I guess Republicans are going to start lecturing us on campaign finance now too. We're already hearing the media lectures.

Damn you're fucking stupid. Doesn't matter? Jeb Bush stayed in for as long as he did because of special interest Super PAC money. He diluted Marco Rubio. Kasich has stayed in too as a result of PAC money. Trump loaned himself cash but he's going to use special interest RNC money to pay himself back every dime. Without Super PACs the field would have cleared early and Trump wouldn't have benefited from a lasting crowded field.

Republicans don't have to throw dinners at the Clooney residence like Hillary. Cruz has an open check book from the banking and oil industry. As do the other GOP establishment candidates.

Not only that, Democrats want to kill super PACs. It was created by Republican judges and money in politics is protected by Republican whores in congress.
