The Better Business Bureau continues to deny claims from Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump that he received a fax from the organization during the Fox News GOP debate earlier this month showing that Trump University had an “A” rating.

During a commercial break at the March 3 debate, Trump was seen handing Fox News moderators Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly a faxed form, saying, “Better Business Bureau just sent this — this just came in.”

However, in a statement released Tuesday, the Better Business Bureau said it sent no document whatsoever to the Republican debate last week. In addition, the organization said the form Trump posted to Twitter was not an up-to-date BBB review of Trump University.

The controversy started when, during the debate, Trump said of Trump University, “We have a 98 percent approval rating, we have an ‘A’ from the Better Business Bureau, and people like it.”

Kelly contested his claim, saying the BBB rating was a D-minus due to several complaints the company had received about Trump University.

“Trump University does not currently have an A rating with BBB,” the BBB said Tuesday in a statement. “The BBB Business Review for this company has continually been ‘No Rating’ since September 2015. Prior to that, it fluctuated between D- and A+.”

As for the outdated fax Trump shared on social media, the BBB said it appears to be part of a 2014 Business Review by the company.

The BBB claimed it received “multiple consumer complaints” during the time Trump University was active, which it said “affected the Trump University BBB rating, which was as low as D- in 2010.”

Well then by 2014 according to the above, it had made it's way back to the A rating, which was the last rating since it was not rated in 2015.

The lawsuit has been going on for 2 years as well -- do the math.

Trump said "This just came in" as in faxed in from the BBB or did he actually mean "this just came in" as in one of his underlings had just faxed a copy of the 2014 rating from Donald's office? It could have meant either.

These ratings do have dates on them -- so I doubt he was trying to be misleading.
Anyway, his company was rated A until some deadbeats who took classes there and did not apply themselves, sued him and complained to the BBB at the same time. When Trump informed the BBB of the situation and details and nature of the lawsuit, the BBB reverted his rating to an A. The noise from the lawsuit made continuing the University unprofitable. --
