Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will speak at the the National Council of La Raza conference on Monday, July 13 at the Kansas City Convention Center.
The former secretary of state, U.S. senator and first lady is scheduled to appear at the conference at the Kansas City Convention Center on Monday, July 13.
“We are thrilled that Secretary Clinton will join us to speak to the thousands of Latino community leaders who will gather in Kansas City,” Janet Murguía, the organization’s president and CEO, said in a news release Thursday. “We look forward to hearing about her vision for the country and her thoughts on the issues of greatest concern to our community.”

The National Council of La Raza succeeded in raking in over $15.2 million in federal grants last year alone, of which $7.9 million was in U.S. Department of Education grants for Charter Schools, and undisclosed amounts were for get-out-the-vote efforts supporting La Raza political positions.
The Council of La Raza succeeded in having itself added to congressional hearings by Republican House and Senate leaders.
