Moving to DC

I have lived in Fairfax County for about five years and I'm finally moving at the end of August. It's simply too boring and lacks culture and you have to drive everywhere and nothing is unique in this country. THe same cookie cutter stores and restaurants that you find in every neighborhood. Again, no culture. The only good thing is that it's quiet. I have constantly spoken out to county officials about bring more to this county but apparently they think things are find as it is and it's not.

Crimes can happen anywhere...You have to use common sense and even in the event it happens in the most unsuspecting place it isn't much you can do about it. I will not live in fear though.

I lived on eastern edge of the Wesley Heights neighborhood at the turn of the century when I first moved to the DC Metro. It’s a quiet, safe area; easy walk to Friendship Heights & upper Georgetown; and, has good bus service to downtown. Check it out.

There's a myriad of Hispanic, Asian, Arab, Mediterranean, and African cuisine restaurants and international markets ALL OVER Fairfax. Perhaps you need to get out more.
