This actually happend to my friend's niece. She couldn't take it anymore when she became an adolecent and ratted on him. He served time in lockup. From a very young age, her life was a living hell .. too bad her mother left her alone @ home with the perp.

It might take a couple days before it can be confirmed. Teen suicides aren't usually publicized by news outlets or the police. Stuff only starts showing up on the internet when schools send letters home or when someone makes a post because word is going round on Facebook.

School officials will generally be one of the first ones to know outside of police and family - they get contacted so the school can have assistance set up/grief counseling in place for the other students.
That said, I'm skeptical about this. The poster went out of their way to say they go to Woodson. Why bother saying that? Makes more sense for it to be a troll who is playing on Woodson's history.

cant be a fake tho, girls name was katie. It may be a rumor but apparently my frien Wds daughter is a freshman at Wtwhs and hears a girl in their grade named katie hung herself hopefilly a rumor though.

Not really, they will just find the IP and go to the house wherever the post comes from. Unlike swatting attempts, where they make the persons name very obvious and post from a random foreign IP.

Though the troll was an ass for doing this, it was imaginative and wasn't a personal attack. I give it a five out of ten on the prank-o-meter. Basically because the sensitive subject, and not many people biting. A touch more imagination could have really made it work. But too late, people are wary of it now
