There will always be poor people because most people are lazy and don't want to work for their wealth. The best way to get on your feet is to get off your ass. I am sick and tired of hearing people bitch about gas and food costs. It is so easy to become wealthy in this country.

Get off your high horse. Most people would say we've done well for ourselves. My wife and I worked hard. We lived frugally. We made prudent choices. That alone didn't account for our success. Time after time starting with our births we got lucky. We got opportunities that others didn't, and equally important we got those opportunities at times when we were positioned to take advantage of them. We had setbacks, but those setbacks were ones we had the resources to overcome. There are people who worked harder than we did but didn't have our luck and didn't do well. There are people who were lazier than we were but had more luck than us and did better.

Fuck hard work, get a government job. I "worked" 34 years in the government. Lunch was from 11 to 1 every day and I only worked about 2 hours a day 90% of the time. Got me a fat pension out of the deal.
