Why isn't Obama with other world leaders at the Paris, standing up for free speech, religious freedom, and democracy?
Posted by: Tee Time Today? ()

Other world leaders made it. Where is the President of the United States? It seems like the U.S. should be a leader in this cause, not a no-show.

Right now world leaders are walking arm-in-arm down the street in Paris to demonstrate their belief in freedom. To stand against Islamic terrorism.

Who's notably absent? President Barack Obama and the United States of America!

Why do they insist on calling them "extremeists" when they are muslims?

British prime minister David Cameron, German chancellor Angela Merkel and Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu are among more than 40 world leaders who linked arms as they led the march to loud applause from the massive crowd.

No Obama, not even one representative of the USA sent from the once super power of the world that has been taken down by intolerant liberalism.

A bunch of Socialist European Leaders walk into a bar to protest violent radical religious fundamentalist terrorists.

The Republican bartender steps in front of them to block their entry and says

"You can't come in here unless you open carry and you certainly can't come in here unless you bring that Muslim, Kenyan, Socialist, Tyrant with you."

The greatest rally for freedom in our lifetimes, and the United States is completely absent. Eric Holder is in France and is not even at the rally.

If you still needed any evidence that Barack Obama has diminished America in the world, you have it.

Even CNN's Jake Tapper is lamenting the absence of the United States and Obama's fecklessness.

The demonstration, said to be even larger than the number of people who marched when Paris was freed from the Nazis in World War II, is bringing together people from every religion, regardless of their political affiliation, as the gathering is meant to symbolize that France fights terror by strengthening its core values of freedom, fraternity and equality.

Yet, the Obama administration fails to send just one representative of the USA.

On Sunday, as world leaders gathered for an anti-terror rally in Paris, France, the Obama administration announced that it would convene a global "Summit on Countering Violent Extremism" on Feb. 18. The White House released a statement describing the summit agenda, which failed to mention Islam, radical Islam, or anything related to the actual ideology motivating the Paris attacks.

Even liberals are appalled. The world gave a party to celebrate freedom, and the White House claimed a previous engagement.

Freedom Fries! Because the French didnt buy your bullshit for the Iraq War. You remember how much you dogged the French for that?

You right wingers are so stupid. The French were right. The argument can be made that that was is what caused an increase in extremism leading to these attacks.

Its all ironic but you filthy fascist extremist share no likelihood with the French. The French think you're animals.

Like this event is going to change things. Actions speak louder than words, if all these guys really gave a 'rats ass", they would combine their forces and take out the "bad guys" in one concerted, inclusive, decisive action. However this incident will sink into the collective past and be forgotten, much like the "Mike Brown" thing has.

Face the fact the French men broke out the wine when the Nazis took over France. It is part of the National character, defeatist; much like the Italians who abandoned the Germans and chickened out when the end was in sight. Fucking France even prohibit US warplanes from flying over their space during the Reagan years, when that airline incident (carrying Achille Lauro terrorist) happened. Besides the fact that this is wrong, this is embarrassing to the American people – President Obama should not have snubbed the events in Paris today – 40+ other world leaders showed up!
And, as I recall, it was French President Jacque Chirac who was the first foreign Head of State to show up at the White House after 9/11. Is this how we send a thank you?

Even before he was elected, all but the most clueless knew where Obama’s sympathies lie regarding the epic struggle between Western Civilization and Islam. He had already proclaimed that he would “stand with the Muslims.” He confirmed this after Benghazi, by responding to the terror attack that killed our Ambassador with the proclamation that “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.” Just in case the point didn’t get through, he keeps reinforcing it.

Following the Charlie Hebdo massacre, more than 50 world leaders gathered in Paris to take part in a massive demonstration against Muslim terrorism. Even dhimmis like Angela Merkel took part. However, as Gateway Pundit reports,

Noticeably missing is Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State John Kerry and Eric Holder. AG Holder was sent to Paris for the march and rally but was not seen at the march.

Politics and diplomacy are all about sending messages. This message was received loud and clear, by friends and enemies alike.

Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe I don't "get" French humor. The magazine provoked an attack, they begged for it. Just because members of some religions don't mind satire, doesn't mean all religions have to be tolerant. The members of the magazine needed to be taught a lesson. I'm not defending the attack on the Kosher store but I can see where the Muslims were coming from.

If you are minding your business, you shouldn't be attacked. If you are provoking the disenfranchised with uncalled for disrespect, then you are asking to be smacked down. Charlie Hebro was a bully magazine. I think murder was a little drastic, but sometimes, when you call down the thunder, you get it.

" Wyatt Earp: So run, you cur... RUN! Tell all the other curs the law's comin'!

[shouts]

Wyatt Earp: You tell 'em I'M coming... and hell's coming with me, you hear?... "

You don't have to mind your own business in this world especially with respect to free speech and where you see something fucked up that you believe needs to be called out. That's kind of the whole principle of protected speech.

If you think that 17 people deserve to be killed because they 'disrespected' some group, then you really are a stupid motherfucker.

Most religions and civilizations can tolerate a little criticism or teasing, these Muslim lunatics cannot.

What is Eric Holder's excuse for not representing the U.S.in the march? I haven't seen anything about his reasoning for not attending. He was sent to Paris after all. How embarrassing for our country.....yet again.

I said murder is a little drastic, but I can see where it comes from. The magazine spent it's time and money mocking a religion instead of finding similarities between the cultures. That is pure "white" arrogance. I can also see you don't know what "free speech" is. i suggest you stay in school and quit eating the chalk.

"A little drastic?" Yeah, I'd say so. And I'm the one who doesn't understand the concept of free speech? lol Now that's funny.

The more relevant concept would be that of offensive speech. Which also is protected. That you'd even try to justify something like that just points to what a dumbshit you are,

Serious question: Has Barack Obama done anything over the last year besides issuing executive orders and lobbing rhetorical bombs onto the political landscape?

He works with no one. Can anyone name one person outside his inner circle with whom he has developed a meaningful relationship over the last decade in Washington? Does he have anything more than a polite relationship with any world leader?

He really is the nothing president. His nothingness was there for the world to see today.

Leading Democrats should ask him to resign. I think he would actually welcome the request. He could play golf and make a lot of money speaking to the the faithful. That would be fine.

Free Speech refers merely means the government won't impede what you say.The government has nothing to do with this. The fault I find with Charlie Hebdo is they were so destructive in their protected speech. I don't think murder is right, but I can see how people can turn revolutionary.

I don't really get the big deal with all this. So what if Obama wasn't there, all these people did was March together, big whoop. We're the ones actually DOING something, like bombing and droning terrorists, getting our troops killed or harmed to root out these terror cells. All these people in france did was walk around. That's great and all but America's already been doing all the heavy lifting for years. Walking arm-in-arm doesn't accomish very much.

+1

He couldn't attend because they wouldn't have put him in the middle of the group of leaders, making it appear he was leading the leaders. If he was off to the side, he would have been criticized by Fox News for being "literally to the left of this person who leads a socialist country blah blah blah".

Image is everything, no winning, so no show. He should have sent either Biden or Kerry to be in the dumb line, but the three second decision would have taken away from the golf day.
