Looking to buy another gun this weekend. Good on rifles, but I think I'd like another nice smaller CHP pistol. I like .45s but my full size is too big to carry unless I leave it in the truck. Maybe a .45 1911 Pro Carry or Ultra? with a rail? Suggestions?

Why would you want the rail on a smaller gun like that?

As a carry gun keep it small and clean.

Trying to nail down a dedicated home protection gun. Thinking a .45 with a rail and a light attached to it is ideal. Would rather not grab the shotgun with L.E. reduced recoil 00 Buckshot, and the AR-15 is overkill. Anyone have experiance with the FNX Tactical .45?

I'll be there with 5 tables of new guns. Not many handguns though. Hard to compete with Trader Jerry.

That would be a good choice but kinda different than what you said as far as standard full-size 1911 being too big. I don't have the FN but I do have an HK Tactical Competition which is very similar. Great gun but it's big. Quite a bit bigger than a 1911. Short of in a leg holder not something that you're going to want to carry. It is my primary home gun though and about perfect for that.

So, it took 8 rounds of .40 S&W to take down the Gentle Giant in Ferguson, MO. I want a .45 ACP for everyday carry. Currently, I alternate between a Glock 19 and Beretta M9 and Full Size 1911 .45. Need something smaller with big kick, idially .45 since I have 1000s of rounds.

Ralph, you should get a 12 Gauge shotgun and shoot yourself in the face with it.

Take a look at the CZ 75 SP-01 in either 40 or 9mm. It's a tack driver, though not a conceal carry weapon.

I've always heard good things about those.

Have you seen the S&W Governor? It's kind of gimmicky, but it fires 45ACP, 45LC, and .410 shotshells. I just saw one at VA Arms the other day.


The thing I like about revolvers chambered in 45 ACP is you get to use one of my favorite obscure cartridges, the 45 Auto Rim.

Lots of good compact .45s out there. You sacrifice capacity but you shouldn't need many with .45.

Oh man, those are cool, but I think what I'm looking for is a 3.5-4"barrel 1911 style .45ACP with a rail. I might just go with Glock 21 Gen4 FTE if available or spend twice as much on a Kimber or a Springfield Operator or Custom Shop in stainless steel.

Like you, eesh, I used to have a Kimber Pro Carry II, which I was disappointed in for some reason. I think if I had the stainless version, I would have been much happier.

I have one, SP-01 Tactical (has the decocker instead of the safety). I think it shoots as well as a 1911 because of the design. Also, the new grips are awesome.

buy a tank , a big field , lotsa supplied. you'll be made a captain in no time !

I got a Bersa Thunder 380 conceal carry last month, light as fuck and fits into my waisteband no problem. bust on it all you want but trust me, any motherfucker steps into my place uninvited he'll soon find himself bleeding out on my floor. I love this gun.

For a .380 ACP, you can't beat the Ruger LCP.

I have a Glock 41 .45 with extended Kriss mags for home defense next to my bed. I also keep a ARES Strike Beltfed AR on the coffee table in the sitting room of my bedroom. More for display but you never know.

Only niggers care about the size of their dicks. Mine gets the job done. Good enough for me. I've stated this before on FFX Underground. I would gladly trade 1 inch of my dick for every 10 IQ points gained. Gladly, because I ain't a nog and have different priorities.
