Wilson completely lost control of the situation. He failed to maintain a defensive position and let his subjects get a superior position on him. Overall it was just terrible situational control. He was in the right to shoot Brown, but he should be fired. I bet his training is subspect at best. Real rookie shit.

I won't pretend to know what its like being a cop, especially in St Louis County. However, I have wondered and wondered and have actually looked for a side story, commentary, and opinion on, etc. how he actually handled the situation. Putting himself in a position where Michael Brown could attack him through the window (i.e. backing up to a position right in front of him and blocking his and his partner's path). Is that how things are done? It just seems stupid to me. A criminal who just committed a semi-violent crime (bullied the clerk while stealing...not armed robbery, but a physical one).
Was there a better way to do this...was his taser an option? Do you pull your taser when faced with to adversaries? Your opinion here is interesting...and I would love to hear more cops interpretations of how this went down versus how it should have went down.

He probably had no reason to suspect that they were you going to reach into his car window and smack him. That's a pretty brazen act, not something you'd expect from someone just walking down the street.
This kid made a whole series of really dumbass mistakes. That's what lead to his death, and it's embarrassing (to me) that so many people are supporting him.

Wilson clearly should've waited for the other cars who were already responding to the reports of the armed robbery at the convenience store. He had identified the two as potential suspects in the robbery. Brown already reached for his gun once when Wilson was in a vulnerable seated position. He's obviously not going to let him come close and try that again.

Like someone else said, one of a cops goals every day is to go home after his shift. Dealing with hoodrats in a ghetto every day is not a job I would never want. I'm sure each day brings scary situations. You have to make split second decisions. Even tho I think the officer handled this as best he could, I would rather make an error in judgment than end up 6 feet under.
None of this would have happened if the stupid nogs had just done what the officer said and get their black asses out of the street and on the sidewalk. I see this behavior all the time with nogs. Sidewalks down both sides of a street and they walk right in the middle of the road and dare someone to blow their horn or tell them to move. They invite confrontation by their actions.

You know I was one of the first to jump on the terrible cop band wagon but after digesting all this for a while I wonder how he must feel. He was Obviously well within the law and well within his rights to use deadly force but the guy must feel like shit really. Though I have never taken anyone's life, that alone would be traumatic and upsetting but add to that the fact that the life taken was so young and the unrest the event has caused, well the guy must be really down.
Like I was saying I was pretty hard on the guy. It would be shitty to be in his spot at this time so since I don't know all the facts I won't pass judgement. Honestly hope everything gets back to normal soon for everyone's sake.
