Virginia right?

Is this message board in Virginia? Where in Virginia? Is this near the mountains or the sea? This is one state up from the Carolinas. Right? And, just south of Maryland or thereabouts, correct? I remember my early childhood geography. I got an A.

Got any neat pictures of Virginia? You had the civil war there, correct? You got Washington, DC, there, right? Lots of governmental workers, right? Must get a tad boring, but you can take trains or plans to big cities up north, correct? How long does it take to get to say, NY? I've been to the Empire State Building. Stood on the top and spit down on the little yellow taxis below. I was just a wee child then, wouldn't do that today, but I wonder if my spit hit anyone.

Anyway, is it cold or warm in Virginia? Just wondering. Got any snow there?

Obvious questions are obvious. So I'll just answer a few...

This is a Northern Virginia message board for Fairfax county and nearby environmens. We are within a day's drive to any place on the East Coast.

NYC is usually a 5 hour drive for me. Some say less, some say more. Its not exactly a a hop, skip and jump away. Traffic is horrid

Our weather? Usually we have warm Springs, long hot humid summers, colorful falls, and mild to cold winters. Some winters are very mild with little to no snow and highs around upper 40s on average. Some winters are awful with lots of snow and ice and temps down into the teens. So it varies. Most winters are in between.

I see, so I guess there isn't much in the way of skiing, right? But an all around mild climate is nice.

Why did the black fellow, the one who posted before you, ask me if I wanted to engage in oral sex? That is so weird, right? Not really a human, more like an animal in the woods that just grabs another animal and goes at it, right? Are there many black fellows posting here? Is this a black message board?

I only post in black.

I admit, I'm baffled as to what your agenda is. My guess is, just being weird.

That's fascinating.

Steering away from vulgar references to black males as rapists, let's get back to the subject, OK?

If I lived near this website's location and I were to drive, say, to Boston, that's far, right? Would I need to change motorways more than once, in other words, is it a straight shoot or a complicated scheme?

Bob9, if you lived in or near this website's sphere of influence, you would be convenient to, but not adjacent to, both the Atlantic Ocean and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Neither is accessible by one motorway, but rather you would be compelled to employ a scheme of varying complication, depending on your actual starting point. I trust this has cleared some things up for you!

Yes, thank you, this is precisely the information I require.

Complicated travel schemes do not fare well with me as I am directionally off-balanced. If I am instructed to drive north, I automatically drive south, hence my hesitancy to drive the American motorways.

I am best suited for city dwelling, but even then I often find myself wandering about in circular motions, which presents me with the unfortunate side effect of vertigo. My associates gifted me a device to be worn around the neck, which, if pressed, sends a distress signal to law enforcement, but the device is unseemly, not at all complementary to my usual less-is-best rule of fashion.

Just Say No, is this website's location closer to the Atlantic Ocean or the Blue Ridge Mountains, and which of these options do you recommend, assuming I am in the vicinity and have had the good fortune to secure a chauffeur?

We have skiing in the mountain areas around Massanutten.

Skiing is great fun and easy on the directionally impaired synopses of my brain. The lift carries me up the mountain and the skis carry me down.

No GPS voice telling me to go left, which means I'll go right. No circling for hours, going nowhere, and showing up at a funeral after the body has been lowered into the ground.

Skiing doesn't require a keen sense of direction or awareness of one's surroundings, outside of the odd tree or the obnoxious kids on their annoying ski boards. And, quite frankly, if I ski into one of them, well, so be it.

PS
I was unable to post as bob9; apparently, my name was scooped up and registered by another individual. How peculiar. So, I am now bob99.
