Do food service industry people spit in peoples food often? Someone who worked in the food service industry told me that 20% of restaurant food has been spit in. That figure seems high to me. I worked in a couple diners when I was young and never saw that happen but I did not work in the kitchen.

I've worked in food and beverage for restaurants, bars, hotels, yachts, and more over the year. Most people will be fine but if you push the waiter and disrespect him/her or try to embarrass him/her or otherwise try to prevent him/her for doing her job then it will happen.
Not just that, pissed off waiters might bring you a double latte when you asked for a decaf or vice versa. We can also give you the smallest cut of dessert. Maybe well cut the salt and another key ingredient in your food and your meal will just be okay. Worst of all is the accidental spill/trip/fall all over the asshole customer, preferably when standing. Haha, "Oh I'm so sorry", yeah, well pay for your meal but you'll be covered in whatever the fuck we choose.
There's other ways too, just be nice to your wait staff if you can't do that don't be a douche. The most condescending in my experience are the middle class almost upper who think they're more important than they really are and upper class Jews who think the world should worship them and look down on everyone besides them and their family as though they're subhuman. Ghetto black people are annoying too, but not always, either way their standard tip is $5.

it is also a very frequent occurrence at starbucks. i worked there for about four years while I was going through school and you wouldn't believe some of the nasty shit that was done. it really didn't matter if the person was being rude at the time as the majority of the people that came in were yuppy douches.

I worked as a server for 6 years full time when in college. I never saw a anyone sabotage food or drink ever, not once. Fuckers in the kitchen would heat the plates to 500 degrees to laugh when I grabbed them but they never fucked with the food.

I worked in three different restaurants during college and I never saw anyone do anything gross, and we served plenty of entitled assholes in that time. Further, if I or anyone I was working with had seen anything like that, I or they would have IMMEDIATELY stopped it and would never have served anything that had been adulterated.

That is why we have stopped visiting these establishments. It is always necessary to check the quality of the establishment you are going to go to. Such cases with food are quite common. That is why we were recommended kitchen rental to celebrate our wedding. I was interested in this information. I think it can be useful.
