DeSantis called a bipartisan bill Trump signed in 2018 that reduced mandatory minimum federal prison sentences and allows a pathway for non-violent offenders to reduce prison time “a jailbreak bill.” As a member of Congress, DeSantis voted for an early version of the measure but had left Congress after he was elected governor and before the final, less strict bill passed.

During Reagan, Bush, with Disney and vacation area general losses*, Florida began infusing money in REAL BUSINESS, real estate building and moreso real busines**

Democrats of course only wanted more cubans maids and drugs and federal money wasted.


(before they competed with UK, Japan, France, Spain, et al for vacation destinations and were popular. however when "every nation" got wealth as for the same - ie India, there wasn't any nation that wasn't "in the game", and Florida quickly began loosing money to other new spots)

** for example, florida built the world's first large scale artificial diamond manufacturing facility during Reagan and Bush

florida and texas had fuckloads of USA taxpayer money and used it for Space Research, factories that built "space junk" some would say

when "NASA" funding was largely pulled: all of that had to be converted to real production and business not rooted in "spending of research money and AT&T launches"
