Every year, during grilling season, I manage to get 2 or 3 of the neighborhood cats. I grill em' up and put them in the woods behind my house for the critters to come and eat. I have a trail camera that records what's eating them.

I’m not much of a griller. I’m more of a stewer. I like to gather some friends over and have them for a nice quiet dinner. Usually something I can put in a pot and let simmer. I’m Also a fan of leftovers. My refrigerator is very full!

I still got enough money left to grill chicken leg quarters that are sold in 5 pound bags. No money for charcoal so I scrounge sticks from the woods. I think Biden left me enough for a jar of Aldi barbecue sauce.

Ill grill a pork butt slowly over hickory smoke for hours staring at 6 am and have pulled pig samwichs on potato rolls , home made cole slaw , cowboy beans , garlic bread, tossed oil and vinigar California green salad all washed down by a Blue Moon with orange slice a Corona with lime wedge a Kona Longboard and then a lot of that cheap beer stinking drunk bums drink

I bought a Weber 4 years ago and it's still great. I had heard the same thing as you but got one anyway. Clean it regularly, put the cover back on it every time, so it doesn't get rained on, basically just take care of it. I don't know if it's BIFL quality but I certainly don't plan on buying another grill for at least another decade. My mom love this one https://lilgrill.com/best-portable-gas-grill/
