Well, a friend had one that was such a lemon that when his daughter was turning 16 and they started discussing whether they needed another car, she said, "Please don't make me take the Audi!"
Mind you, that's one data point. And he's pretty sure it had been in an accident before he bought it--found some sketchy paint in the trunk. Which wouldn't be Audi's fault, but the dealer's.
There are lemons in every brand...still a fun story!

I owned one A4 v6 Quattro and besides the regular maintenance, no issues for over 100K miles in the 4+ years I had it. It drove and handled very well, and the Quattro coupled with manual shift was quite confident-inspiring in treacherous conditions.
Now I drive Swedish. And no, its not a Volvo but just as good as the Audi, if not better.

Most of these goobers couldn't tell an Audi if it t-boned them. They think it's manly to prattle on as if they knew something about cars. All cars. As in all cars ever produced. Bunch of grossly under-qualified phonies and frauds. Useless people.

There's no doubt that Audi's look great and have a lot of great innovative features and are great performing cars when tuned.
However, but necause Audi has way to many gadgets and companents in the car, there is bound for something to go wrong and break. Be prepared to piss major $ in maitenance for an Audi.

With Audi you get all of the typical German over-engineering and resulting lack of reliability and the higher price with none of the status or resale of BMW, Mercedes, or Porsche.
There are exceptions now and then. The old Quattro models were awesome for their time. The R/RS models are respectable but for the money you might as well just get what you really want and buy the M.

The Audi SUVs are junk and are ugly. The A7 or S7 are the only ones worth buying. The A8 is basically an A6 with a longer wheelbase unless you get the A8L. They are ok and comfortable, but nothing stellar. The A4 is basically a VW Eos and screams entry-level. The R8s are way overpriced considering that they are in the low-end Ferrari price range. If you're going to pay that much, may as well buy an exotic or even an optioned out 911.
