What is a strath?

So one day I was on my way to pick up basils (eesh!) with my friend Michael at a gardening center, when I heard someone named Josef talking about a strath. What is it exactly, and what does it do?

Bump. I don't remember where this was, but I heard from Josef's brother William that he came from a place called Henrico and that he has a wife named Elizabeth Moreno.

Yes indeed. I had heard that Elizabeth's sister, Katie, who works at the Kodak firm, knows what a strath is though. I'm thinking it has something to do with lambs and some person named Mark Toohey Webster.
