I know of maybe two within 5 miles of where I live, but don’t think they’ve worked for 10 years.

I haven't seen any. The last one I saw was in a grocery store and one near a gas station. The grocery store is gone and I haven't been to that gas station in awhile because it's high as shit so I'm not sure.
Weird huh? Things we saw everyday are now foreign and younger kids don't even know wtf they are.

I tried explaining the concept of burning CDs to my nephew a couple days ago. He couldn’t believe there was a time not too long ago when people didn’t just carry phones around with them.

Haha. Right. I honestly can't believe we didn't either. Idk how we survived.
I'm young enough that idk how to read a map though so I can't really talk too much smack about the younger ones.

would you pay $1,500 to install a pay phone, ?$/month in rent to have a nigger vandalize it before it paid off ? probably not unless you were forced to by law.

They are still prevalent in certain places, especially where there is shitty or no cell phone service. When I was in the UK 3 years ago, you could find them literally in the middle of no where due to British laws. You could be driving up the A7 headed towards Edinburgh and see a couple off the side of the road.

It’s hard these days even finding anyone who still has a land line phone. Ditched mine 4 years ago.

You have to have "copper wire" service where you live if you want to keep it. The telephone company has been dropping it slowly everywhere. If you still have "copper wire" service, you can even use a telephone with a dial. I have one and still use it. Just like the commercial used to show in the late 1960s and prior, those Western Electric telephones do not quit.
