Here in Virginia it's at an all-time high according to the people who do the actual work. That's why the system has been down so long. It can't handle all the claims.

I've been to Trump Country Virginia a number of times over the past six months. It has always been the same. Businesses are screaming for help and having to cut back their hours because they can't find employees.

In the Staunton area the unemployment rate is about 2.5%. That is down 47% from what it was when Biden took office and is at about the same level as March of 2020. Lynchburg unemployment is at 3.2%, down from 5.9% when Biden took office and sitting at about the same rate as March of 2020. Fredericksburg VA is at 3.8%, down from 6.6% when Biden took office and close to the levels of March 2020. Overall Virginia is sitting at 3.4%, down 28% from when Biden took office and nonfarm employment is at 3.97 million people, again the highest level since March of 2020. Not too shabby for a state you describe as having unemployment at record high levels.
