Citing a lack of pilots, United is consolidating regional flights out of their hub airports, with Dulles taking a big hit. The following flights will no longer be available out of Dulles starting in 2022...
Akron/Canton, Ohio (CAK)
Asheville, North Carolina (AVL)
Bangor, Maine (BGR)
Erie, Pennsylvania (ERI)
Grand Rapids, Michigan (GRR)
Greensboro, North Carolina (GSO)
Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina (GSP)
Milwaukee (MKE)
Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM)
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (MDT)
Ithaca, New York (ITH)
Philadelphia (PHL)
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania (AVP)
State College, Pennsylvania (SCE)

Eh, except for Milwaukee and Philly they sound like low demand routes. And from the time you arrive at IAD and get out of the Philly airport, you could’ve easily driven or taken the train there. Anyone who still needs to get to Grand Rapids or Bangor will just have to accept a flight with connections in Boston or Chicago.

It's a crummy town, and it's small. These canceled flights can't be on big planes like 737s or 320s. They're probably those CRJ/ERJ jets that hold like 40-50 people.
