Another COVID XMAS

No family reunion for Christmas this year. Both of my brother's kids tested positive this week and are sick.
One's in high school, the other is 21, works but lives at home.
They are both fully vaxed, like their parents. Both are young and healthy. But they got Omicron anyway. The older boy isn't allowed back to work for a couple weeks. The younger one I guess will have to do distance learning for about a week.
Normally we would all go there, about 10 people (more siblings, aunts and uncles like me, grandparents, etc.) But CANCELLED for the second year in a row...
Vaxxing and Boosters did nothing to stop this.
One of the other uncles and his two elementary school kids are NOT vaxxed because he thinks that's a liberal plot and Trump is still president. They're all fine, no rona.

For me:
My rural sister, her uber-rural home-schooled son AND his 2 year old...NOT vaxed.
She is a vegan who "cares about what goes into her body". She disregards doctors when it's convenient for her. Claims her son didn't get the basic kid inoculations.
I believe she hit her head and has dementia.

Even on nigrah Channel 5 news, their stupid polls show America has moved on. It's now 80/20 that the darkies won't be changing their Christmas plans, their New Year's plans or will disinvite/not attend events with unvaxed relatives.

By the way, at least three of my relatives, all in their 20s, were fully vaxxed. They all got sick with COVID anyway. (Not at the same time; they don't live together). They were laid up for about a week with symptoms like a bad flu.
They go out and do shit every day and night. I'm retired and don't go out nearly that much. So they got a lot more exposure.
Don't know if they will develop the long-term (neurological and other) problems. Hope not!
