Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
The series is being “review bombed” by viewers, though many dispute that term, but it has accounted for a wide split between critics, which have given it a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and fans, who have sunk it to a 28%. That’s…quite a gap.
The issue seems to be that a certain subset of fans feel “tricked” by the marketing and branding for the new Masters of the Universe series, created and written by Kevin Smith. They believe they were promised a show starring He-Man and his alternate form, Prince Adam. Instead, the show focuses mainly on Teela, and spoilers, He-Man is killed by the end of the first episode of the series.
He-Man was featured more prominently in marketing than he was in these first episodes here, and the implication was that he’d be the star of the series. But there was trickery being done here, it was for “woke” purposes of having the show star Teela (a female), as well as keeping the secret that He-Man dies in the first episode, a plot twist you don’t want ruined.

I don't have an issue overall. Western society in a woke, feminist disaster currently. Every show...every movie...every commercial...everything...is woman good, man bad....woman smart, man idiot...woman strong, man weak. So there's no reason to bait and switch for the movie.

Women would lose their minds and there would be a national uprising. Women would riot, steal tampons and lipstick, turn to social media to cry and say there's no way a strong man could defeat a female.

Women will never find out. Unless some idiot tells them.

An idiot doesn't have to say anything. The strong and brave feminists look for reasons to have their feels hurt. They go to movies, watch commercials, and sit around just waiting for their moment to be offended and cry foul.
I enjoy a wide range of films and have lately begun to enjoy movies about war. This time, I chose to look at Flixboss which is a great way for me to choose a movie that would interest both myself and my buddies.
