Just playing devil's advocate:
Why would I get a job that's low pay, high risk (as far as covid goes), and is unfulfilling when there are people making $100K for doing absolutely nothing? Government workers and people in IT make money for doing little to no work. People are starting to do the math and realize that they want to get out of minimum wage and on to the gravy train. Employers will simply have to act accordingly and either automate or pay better.
