He is building up suspense. He really should keep his word though, many people adjust their lives around a Meade stream, now they are stuck.

He changed his routine. Like all good entertainers he knows when to give it a retirement. If Steve Martin did the routines he did years ago on SNL, the arrow in the head thing or the "Well EXCUSE ME" bit, he would never have survived. Meade knows that it is a funny business and changes all the time. He does not want to go the route of Carrot Top or Sinbad.

Something has to become popular before it can become "old hat".
Only a few dozen people have seen "The Chinese Thing" at the most.
It still has miles to be go before it becomes stale.
Don't worry too much. Meade tried out the "drunken meskin' thing" last December along with "The Chinese Thing". It is nice that Meade doesn't discriminate on which offensive stereotypes he chooses to mimic.
