It's a mini-series of the events of the Mount Carmel in Waco, TX in 1993 that led to the death of 4 AFT agents and 76 branch davidians in a failed assault on their compound. It's based on books by the FBI's lead negotiator, one of the survivors from the compound, and from Senate testimony and the Danforth Report from the DOJ.
Some fucked up shit going on there. FBI has been fucked up for years it seems.

It was hard to watch. FBI needlessly caused the death of dozens of men women and children all under the bogus assertion they were trying to protect the very people who died. Disgusting. Note however, Obama learned a valuable lesson and did not press Clive Bundy and his gang. Trump then pardoned Bundy despite Bundy taking and holding govt property at gunpoint.

It was the ATF and not the fbi that screwed the pooch in Waco. What happened was sad and wrong, but the Davidians needed to be dealt with. Just sad kids had to die.

I am in no way condoning what was going on at the Branch Dividian compound by Koresh, but we haven't invaded Salt Lake City to stop the pedophilia and polygamy practiced by the Mormons.

No davidians who came out ever confirmed that there was child abuse going on. That was a ruse used by the FBI to launch an assault on the compound.
They could have arrested Koresh almost any day just by waiting for him to leave the compound, which he did ever couple of days.
This was an attempt to keep ATF afloat after several public relations disasters during the 1980's.
It's all covered in the mini-series.

The ATF had an undercover agent who was hanging out with the Davidians inside their compound. He told the Senate committee who was investigating the siege that he never saw any signs of child abuse.

No child abuse (in the legal sense). Just watch the series if you want to know what happened instead of guzzling down the lies you've been fed for decades.
