63% of Americans do not have at least $500 saved up

Where do you fit in? 6/10 Americans don't have $500 in savings.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/maggiemcgrath/2016/01/06/63-of-americans-dont-have-enough-savings-to-cover-a-500-emergency/

According to a brand new survey from Bankrate.com, just 37% of Americans have enough savings to pay for a $500 or $1,000 emergency. The other 63% would have to resort to measures like cutting back spending in other areas (23%), charging to a credit card (15%) or borrowing funds from friends and family (15%) in order to meet the cost of the unexpected event.

It’s not news that Americans are terrible savers. In November, Pew Charitable Trusts reported that one in three American families have no savings at all. In December, Magnify Money released the results of a study that found that 56.3% of people have less than $1,000 in their checking and savings accounts combined. Sensing a trend? You should: America’s saving struggle has been a problem year after year after year.

I started saving up money for my ultimate gaming weekend at https://ipayzz.com/de/yoyo-casino/ because me and my friend made a bet that I can double my bank in two days.

Charge it to dust like the federal government has done for the last 27 years

Then see if you too can let it settle with the wind

It's true that most Americans do not save enough in general. For retirement or for miscellaneous expenses, but it is also true that wages have not kept up with inflation for decades now and employers simply do not want to pay their employees market rate. It's hard to save when those last two things are facts. We need to focus more on education our youth on the virtues of fiscal responsibility and good saving/spending habits and the strategies that go along with them.

I have about 80k in the bank, but I'm not working and the unemployment has not started. I have a big mortgage so I'm seeing that money go down and down. I can't complain compared to people who don't know how to get food, but I need to get working. I can get a job today and it would pay decent money but I'd be risking CV exposure and I'm over 50 and I have asthma, which is perfectly treated but who the fuck knows what would happen if I get CV. Also I have a wife who I love who is a bit older than me so more at risk, and I'd be risking bringing the virus home.

Not easy decisions, but yeah, I'm better off than most.

I assume they are not counting retirement. We have about 40k in the bank but my clients are still paying and my wife has the highest rank or whatever you call it in Federal Govt. Executive core or some shit like that. So we are ok thank God. My son's job cut one of his three shifts and my other kid was hoping to get a job for the Spring/Summer to pay for gas and insurance as she just got her license.

My heart goes out to people of all incomes whose income has simply disappeared. More money you make more you burn typically so I am quite sure there are some well to do in distress atm.

jeezus fucking christ, shut the economy down for one month and they're financially fucked! That's why they're screaming for a premature relaxation in what are really some perfectly sensible safety precautions. One week without a paycheck, and they can't pay the rent!

I can't believe it. Many people have large savings. This is a guarantee of safety and appropriate behavior. I have two jobs. in my official job, I work as a sales Manager, and now I have found a second job https://syndicate-casino.ca/. I save money from this work for the future. This is my airbag.
