if this is a huge epidemic with so many infected and so many dead
Posted by: just sayings ()

how many people do you directly personally know (family, friends, coworkers) that have had the kung flu, hospitalized, or died ?

i know libshits will panic and resort to their programming of quoting cnn nonsensically like their feeble jedi biden

but most people know not one who has the kung flu, let alone hospitalized or died

i actually know 2 people who caught it...one was like a mild cold, the other like the flu for a few days then were fine

so do you believe your lying eyes or truth speaking cnn ?

libtards are brainwashed so your answers are already known and don't count

The whole world hasn't been tested. You idiots seem to not understand what asymptomatic means.

Some countries don't test at all or very limited testing. They have deaths but just estimate causes.

So it's a hoax because you don't know anyone who contracted it. Right. Trumptard thinking processes.

Quite a few actually. Out of my project team of 25, 2 have had it. Also both my next door neighbors. Another team member’s grandfather died from it and 2 cousins. Those are only the confirmed cases that we know. Of the cousins, neighbors, and coworkers, (6 total), 4 were hospitalized, ages 65, 64, 51, and 40. The two that were not included a 40 y/o cousin and 20 something co-worker. Then there are a bunch of people I don’t know personally, people like the brother of one of my daughter’s friends and a couple people in a message group I chat with. I also learned this week about some guy died from my high school class who I don’t remember well; age early 40s.

So it’s definitely out there. Virginia is one of the few states that is still on the front part of the curve too. Although of the 6 I know personally, only 2 are in Va. the others are in Maryland and Massachusetts.

Maybe spending your whole life trolling people on Fairfax Underground from your Mom’s basement has resulted in a very small social circle.

My father's best friend passed from it. He was in his late 50s. He thought it was a hoax too and didn't take precautions either.

OP is like one of those idiots who doesn’t wear a seatbelt because 30 years ago their uncle was in a car accident, was thrown from the vehicle and everyone in the car died.

Anecdotal evidence at its finest. Indicative of poor deductive skills and a very egocentric mind, probably a personality disorder.

out of my agency of 200....zero cases
out of my family of over 100...zero cases

of course many have probably had it with no or little symptoms
which means it is not the deadly killer

how many businesses and lives will be destroyed by the lockdown ?

you all are idiot scared sheep

It's not an epidemic. The definition of an epidemic is as follows:

Quote
Dictionary
A widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community at a particular time.

COVID-19 is what we call a pandemic. The definition of which also follows.

Quote
Dictionary
(of a disease) prevalent over a whole country or the world.

OP is stupid.

There is hard evidence that millions of Americans have had the wuhan flu and not known it. Just one city...

https://www.27east.com/southampton-press/new-studies-says-millions-of-new-yorkers-may-have-had-coronavirus-infections-most-without-knowing-it-1697124/

Deaths are being counted as wuhan flu deaths with zero evidence of such. Just one city...

https://news.yahoo.com/york-city-revises-coronavirus-death-205328540.html
"On Tuesday, the city's health department released a revised COVID-19 death count that included those who were not tested but were presumed to have died from the disease. That added an additional 3,700 people, bumping the city's total count well over 10,000 coronavirus fatalities."

notice the word "presumed", liberal retards(redundant) love words like that.
Al Gore started a religion with words like that; may, might, could, ect ect

and.. https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/problematic-covid-19-death-definition-may-be-inflating-death-rate-effecting-draconian-lockdown-measures

We are being told there are fewer infections than there really are, and there are more deaths than there really are. Which means the death rate of the wuhan flu is far lower than we are being told.

The most deaths in this country from the wuhan flu are the elderly. The elderly are at such risk from the regular flu there are assisted living facilities limit or ban children visiting because they are a high risk for spreading it.

Interesting statistic:
"According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), each year more than 200,000 people will be hospitalized because of the flu, and 36,000 of them will die."

That's higher than the wuhan flu, and we have widespread use of vaccines with the regular flu.

Given all that, scroll down to infections/deaths and tell me which one is really the pandemic..

https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/coronavirus/coronavirus-disease-2019-vs-the-flu

also of interesting note, the liberal retard(redundant) keeps posting numbers that are at least 5,000 higher with zero proof

You: "’According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), each year more than 200,000 people will be hospitalized because of the flu, and 36,000 of them will die.’ That's higher than the wuhan flu, and we have widespread use of vaccines with the regular flu.“

How are 36,000 deaths (flu) over the course of a year “more” than 60,000 deaths (COVID) over the course of one month?

What’s your angle, man? Are you just stupid or are you like a small business owner who this has personally affected? Why are you so bias and what do you personally get by comparing this to the flu?

I know it’s not the “gateway pundit,” an incredibly unbiased source of real info, but try to understand the concepts in here.... https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/01/health/flu-vs-coronavirus-deaths/index.html

I did that. Basically most the links contradict what I think are your points. If you think you are being clear, then maybe you are not a very good communicator and lack awareness. I agree that the Johns Hopkins one is clear that the two are very different and that COVID is much more dangerous. The others are conjecture but I suppose you mean to say that the death rates are confounded. There’s actually more evidence that says if anything coronavirus has been spreading on the west coast since November and many of the flu deaths this year were actually coronavirus before testing.

Now that all means you are correct in that the death rate is not as high as reported and a massive number of people have had coronavirus and did not know it. So the death rate is probably between .5 and 1.0% (not .05% you were staying two days ago) and not the 5% that the official count shows.

But, (per your Johns Hopkins article) there is no vaccine for coronavirus. Also, most experts are saying that with the R null, there is no realistic way to stop it from ultimately affecting 60-70% of the nation before a vaccine. Herd-immunity (which exists btw) is probably the only way for this to ever go away. Let’s hope it doesn’t mutate though. But assuming you only get it once and then are immune, that’s still between 200 and 250 million Americans infected, and anywhere from 1.0 to 2.5 million dead over the next 2 years (those are your adjusted death rates by the way).

Everyone pretty much knew a vaccine was 2 years away. Any sooner is too optimistic. Everyone also knows you can’t shut down for 2 years. So the whole point, which I think you’ve missed, is that the shut down is an attempt to prevent the hospital systems from being overloaded, give doctors a chance to find some treatment(s), and minimize the spread as best you can while your healthcare workers recover and build immunity. Maybe with treatments, the death rate will even go down further, who knows?

Had there not been any shut down or social distancing, you would have had all 200-250 million cases over a very short span, probably 6 months. You are correct, most would be asymptomatic or very mild but that would still be millions of hospitalizations which would have overloaded the hospital system and resulted in preventable deaths. That’s why we are doing all this, to prevent the preventable deaths. And yeah, it sucks, man. No one wants to be a stuck in their house with miserable fucking kids. But man the fuck up and do your part so we can get through this sooner.

Anyway, I’m done arguing with you. It’s not very satisfying for me. You are ill-informed, a bad communicator and pretty fucking stupid. Probably too stupid to know you are stupid. None of that bothers me nearly as much as the fact you are a fucking whingy little twat, not fearless as you claim.

we don't have the real numbers, that is not in dispute, by anyone. Yet you "know" exactly what the numbers are? Fail

Hey, after the argument, do you guys reach out to each other and fucK? You both sound like a couple of manginers. One sounds like a transformers collector.

I'd imagine it's awfully difficult for you to wear a mask with a dick in your mouth

I guess when your conspiracy involves the fact that all normal and respectable news sources are the ones that are corrupt and “fake,” that only leaves you with the most extreme, right-wing bias news sources. It’s a classic way to control the masses; to control what they believe. Cause the thing is, no one will ever be able to argue against someone who uses sites like project Veritas as a source. It’s ironic too because they use finding the “truth” and exposing “corruption” as their main motivators when the true aim is the opposite. But again, no arguing against it which is why it works so well with the less educated, majority.

Yeah, they can't even listen to Fox News anymore. Fox News is in on it too, a part of the conspiracy. That's how crazy these people are. Qanon and project veritas. Probably storefront as well.

Who got the Russian Collusion hoax wrong?
ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN/FNC/MSNBC/PBS/NPR/NYTimes/WaPo/LATimes/WSJ/USAToday/Time/NewsWeek

Who got the Covington Kids story wrong?
ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN/FNC/MSNBC/PBS/NPR/NYTimes/WaPo/LATimes/WSJ/USAToday/Time/NewsWeek

Who got the Jussie Smollett story wrong?
ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN/FNC/MSNBC/PBS/NPR/NYTimes/WaPo/LATimes/WSJ/USAToday/Time/NewsWeek

Who got the pictures of the kids in cages story wrong?
ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN/FNC/MSNBC/PBS/NPR/NYTimes/WaPo/LATimes/WSJ/USAToday/Time/NewsWeek

But yeah, let's attack OAN and Project Veritas because they aren't feeding us the lies that all the other "news" sources are.

It's May 2 and NO - I do not personally know anyone that has tested positive for the virus. Sure I know plenty of people who know someone that has.
