What's the point of this shutdown?

It's been proven that the WHO drastically over estimated this flu. Shutting everything down only prolongs it. If you're going to get it you're going to get it now or later. Might as well stop this stupid shutdown.

The problem is, the virus affects too many and only 4-7% are fatal, we have too many to treat, even my step daughter, who I don’t talk too, went to hospital, she had a common cold.

It's not even close to normal flu. You need a doctor's recommendation to get a test. In places like NYC they only test the worst cases and those people already have preexisting conditions. The numbers are being manipulated. Just open everything back up and people will build an immunity like everything else.

Not normal flu. Not a cold. It can make you very sick, even if you don't die from it. The death rate is about 10 time the rate of the flu, and it's very, very contagious. It can kill you no matter what your age group is. Shutting down limits exposures. If you did business as usual with no shutdowns, the infection rate would hit 40-80 percent, and the virus might kill as many as 2 million people. In the US alone.

It went from BF China to the white house in just a few weeks. It has a 5% death rate. Why do people want to keep telling themselves it is just a normal flu?

This is serious. If you can’t stand the precautions taken, you’re not American.
Sacrificing a small part of life for the good of this country is part of this nation’s history.
Stop posting like whiny little bitches and act accordingly.

Oh, because Trump is president.

From April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010, CDC estimated there were 60.8 million cases (range: 43.3-89.3 million), 274,304 hospitalizations (range: 195,086-402,719), and 12,469 deaths (range: 8868-18,306) in the United States due to the (H1N1)pdm09 virus.

In two weeks this whole argument is going to seem kind of silly.
