Folks, this is an issue that could arise THIS VERY YEAR.

What will happen to meade?

Meade will not have a lot of options once his dad passes. Do you remember that video where he cried "When my dad dies no one left will take care of me"? I was thinking he would be getting a couple hundred for the sale of the house and that would be enough time to figure out it was time to grow up. That just isn't the case. A stay in the Salvation Army may be tough for him at the start, but really they will help him carve out a viable future as opposed to his "Superstar" fantasies he has been fooling himself with for far too long.

I guess I can understand not wanting meade in your house.

Maybe if it were a really big house enabling him to stay away from me, and assuming it was only for a finite length of time, I suppose it would be OK.

But it's clear that he has pondered moving in with relatives and has asked them about it. It's like he realizes he will have no place to go. You would think this would panic him toward learning a trade a bit more quickly.

Meade says there are 4 siblings so they would have to split the money and I'm betting that the mortgage is not in a trust so the state of VA will take 40% in inheritance taxes.

So divide 100,000 four ways and Meade will likely get around $15,000 after funeral expenses. $15,000 is what person in three months.

I imagine $15,000 will last Meade about 5 months.

There are no estate taxes if the estate is less than 4 or 5 million. Anyway, Meade will be penniless about a year after his father dies.

He also mentioned some mansion his ancestors lived in and he wishes he lived there. What he forgets is there were more recent ancestors who lost their money. That is closer to his ancestral legacy than the mansion dwellers. He should really do some soul searching on why he feels his pedigree is so much better than everyone else's. The government checks he receives every month says more about Meade's breeding and bearing than some one-time ancestors living in luxury. Ancestors who would be embarrassed to have a fucktard like Meade as a descendant.

At 85 we know he would have matured out of a whole life insurance policy long ago. And short term other than a small "funeral" policy is cost-prohibitive if it is available at all.

Meade said in one VLOG a few years back (which he deleted, of course) that his dad had to retire early at age 59 because his company went under. So his dad has a 1970's era pension which is not really enough to sustain the expenses of modern living. His dad had to borrow on the house obviously to keep things afloat and then gave up on paying mortgage. When Meade's dad goes, Meade is screwed.

It isn't what you think you can do, it is what someone else will pay you to do.

Most of us start at the bottom. I started at an entry-level in my career. It took a college degree to even get that entry-level job but it was the bottom. I had to prove myself by doing the grunt work before I was promoted to tasks that were more 'worthy' in my mind. For the most part, nothing has changed in that department on the job front in centuries. Sure nepotism and cronyism might give a select few a heads up, but that is the exception, not the rule. And I'm not one of them and Meade certainly isn't one of them.

One of the siblings is going to end up getting guilted into taking meade in. This will tacitly be a permanent move, although in his weekly vlog meade will refer to it as a temporary state of affairs.

I suspect he will live with gretchen, whose transition to a two room apartment will (have to) be financed by the older brother.

I do give to charities(including the Salvation Army). There are a lot of people who appreciate a "Hand up" not "hand out". My charity giving is finite. Why waste it on a person who thinks certain jobs are "beneath him"? My post above was kind of nasty. If Meade did do the right-about-face, and acquired some actual humility and took the best job he was offered(even though in his mind it would be far beneath him). I could see myself and others helping him out a bit. If he doesn't change dramatically, the day his father dies is going to be his doomsday.

There is no way meade becomes self-supporting before his father croaks - we MUST convince his family either to take him in, or pool their money to rent him an apartment.

there is a brother who is a realtor. Perhaps he can buy an old rambler as a long-term land investment - something to be torn down to make way for a condo or a McMansion as soon as meade moves out. Meade's sister could live there too.

Has Meade ever thought about becoming a business owner? I can picture him owning and operation a dry goods store. Kind of like Chad Dukes.

Only a small percentage of people who dream of singing on National Television actually do. Some dreamers have less talent than Meade. Some dreamers have more talent than Meade. Even if Meade was dying, the RNC wouldn't act like an adult "make-a-wish" and give him a shot. There is a reason why Meade thrives in a job where he is covered in a costume from head to toe and is forbidden to speak let alone sing. You walk into a fast-food restaurant with this guy asking in his voice that sounds like an old southern colored lady "May I take your order?" You walk out and go to KFC.

That would actually be a good direction for Meade. His biggest obstacle there would be his inability to stay awake for more than 8 hours without a nap. I'm still thinking a good career move for him would be to buy a used trailer with the few thousand bucks inheritance he gets when his dad dies.
