Every once in awhile I go pick up my kids from SACC and notice the interracial offspring of some of the white women. I notice the kids in the foyer area and then I'm immediately drawn to who's picking them up.

When I make eye contact with the white mother I don't really do anything other than what i'd do if the kid was all black or all white. Just make eye contact.

But inevitably I get a sour puss look from the mom. Especially if my own blonde blue-eyed kids are near me.

Do you think that even though they love their kids, that deep down inside they regret that their kids look nothing like them?

Do you think that they notice other people looking at them and wear their kids like a badge of victimhood honor, kind of like they have some disability and we're supposed to be knowingly supportive and affirming?
