I laugh whenever I hear someone claim they are an "originalist" when discussing the Constitution

They might as well be a flat Earther or one of those nut jobs that believe Dinosaurs and man cohabitated Earth at the same time. The founding father's may not have explicitly given future generations instructions to modify the constitution at will, but they also didn't implicitly say, "this is all set in stone". The Constitution is a living document and has been for some time. It's had amendments added and modified numerous times throughout its existence. Sure, some of the basic tenets should remain, the right to the rights to life, liberty & pursuit of happiness and what not, but we should not be afraid to continuously mold and this document just because some idealistic yokels from the hinterland want to keep it so. Even the Bible had things added, changed and omitted.
