That's not true at all. When someone that high of the ladder is allowed to keep their clearance even when they're not actively employed.

these guys keep their clearances after they’re gone because they’re often called up to assist the agencies on things and answer questions about stuff that was going on while they were in their post. if comey has no intention to pick up the phone and help them, then it doesn’t make sense to keep it.

He didn't "lose" his clearance. They come up for renewal and he didn't file the paperwork to renew his. For whatever reason he didn't file for renewal, he now can no longer be asked questions or provide testimony on issues that require a security clearance - hampering Durham's efforts to question in the probe of the whole Russian hoax and spygate. Those are just facts.
